Another great experience for me at the International Congress.  As usual, I leave with a renewed sense of excitement, great ideas and invigorated professional spirit!  For me, the Congress represents not only the opportunity to stay in touch as an educator and learn about recent innovations and technology, but also an opportunity to engage in dialogue with my peers, see alumni achieve professional milestones at the Open Forum and Symposia, and feel the continued sense of unity as a we discuss the future of our profession.  I feel fortunate to be a part of such an exciting time for Respiratory Care.  I was inspired by the acceptance speech at the Awards ceremony by Jimmy A. Young Medalist, Margaret Traband, when she spoke of this time when we must all think of ourselves as the bridge between the past and the future.   I look forward to the future and will do my best to build the bridges so that we can achieve all that we are surely capable.  Will you be a bridge as well?
