How to achieve your goals:

There are two types of goals, short-term and long-term.

The short term goals:

1) Easier to achieve

2) Can provide a daily sense of achievement

3) Can be used to achieve larger goals, one step at a time

The long-term goals:

1) Will take longer to achieve than short-term goals

2) Can provide a great sense of achievement when completed

3) Can be achieved with smaller goals, ex. If you want to cut down an oak tree that’s a thousand years old, you wouldn’t cut it down in one day. You would cut it down by consistently chopping it down. Eventually, the tree will fall.

4) Can be extremely rewarding

Planning your goals:

When planning a goal (short-term or long term) follow this acronym: IPECC

I- Initiate

P- Plan

E- Execute

C- Control

C-Close

1) Initiating a goal means that you will determine what you want to accomplish. Ask yourself; is this a long-term goal or a short term goal?

        2) Plan your goal. Planning your goal means that you should plan every aspect of your goal. That includeslooking at strategies for roadblocks that you may encounter while you are working on your goal. Planning is the most important part of any goal achieving strategy. Don’t forget to include a completion date,

        3) Execute your goal. Executing your goal means that you begin and work on your goal according to your plan.

        4) Control your plan: Controlling you plan is when you look at your plan and look for deviations from the plan. Any deviations should be corrected ASAP. If you don’t, then it can take you longer to achieve your goal

     5) Closing: Is when you finally complete your coal. Upon completion of you goal, pat yourself on the back, celebrate and set- up the next goal. Enjoy your victory!!!
