Your June issue of AARC Times is ready for viewing online at http://mydigimag.rrd.com/publication/?i=110475.
June is our traditional issue for sharing the annual report and update of the AARC's activities and benefits. It's also the issue that may feature your picture on the cover. Take a look. We hope you like it.
There’s also an article highlighting the combined advocacy efforts of Political Action Contact Team members, their chronically ill patients, and AARC leaders who recently went to the Capitol to advocate for patients gaining better access to the services of a respiratory therapist. We would like to thank all the people who sent us their pictures to use in this article, which begins on page 36.
Please read and take to heart the "Observations" column by Sam P. Giordano, beginning on page 30. He notes the importance of your developing a strong relationship between yourself and your chronic disease patients to help better manage their disease and ensure a better quality of life. He encourages you to "continue to think outside the box, but don't forget to keep score," driving home the fact that we need you to do more research that shows the value of having RTs deliver and manage the care of the chronic lung patient in all settings.
