Cleaning of ventilators

Hello,

Does anyone have a standard of practice in place for the cleaning products to use on the ventilators?  We use the Santi-cloth at my facility.

Joint commission says to follow the manufacturers instructions, and most are warm soapy water with damp cloth.

Thank you for responding.  We are actually in the process of getting the approval to use the Santi Cloths for all of our equipment from each vendor.

We are accredited by the Joint Commission. Their standard is to follow the manufacturer's instructions for use (IFU) for cleaning equipment. As long as you use the Sani-Cloth product that matches the IFU you should be good.
