Natural Disasters- How can we help?

Hello AARC friends,
As some of you have now heard, the town of Joplin Missouri was 30% demolished by a 6 mile path tornado yesterday afternoon. There have been many natural disasters this year and our hearts and prayers go out to all the families that have had their lives destroyed. I personally witnessed the aftermath of a tornado in Vellonia Arkansas last month that wiped out the town. So how can we help with the most recent disaster in Joplin, Missouri? I have attached the link to give you this information : http://www.ky3.com/. The power of prayer is devine so continue to pray for our colleagues and families of these natural disasters.

And while Massachusetts may not have had the death (4) or destruction that Joplin did, they still had three tornados, one of which was an F-3 on the Fujitsu (I think I spelled it right) scale that was on the ground for 39 miles! Kudos to all those folks working at Baystate in Springfield Mass!

Michael,
I agree with many of your comments. My son is presently in Joplin visiting family. The aftermath of this storm is devastating. We should all be prayerful for these folks and others who have had to deal with this year's storms. We should also minister (serve) in tangible ways as well as the opportunity presents. Thank you for bringing this to mind.
