"AARC Congress 2012: Coming Attractions," beginning on page 54, gives you another glimpse at some of the sessions not to be missed at our International Respiratory Congress in New Orleans next month. In addition, Tara Mahaffey, BA, RRT, tells about her experience last year when, as a student, she presented a research poster in the OPEN FORUM.
"Working for the Greater Good," beginning on page 74, details how the American Respiratory Care Foundation supports scholarship, research, and giving back to the communities RTs serve. One way that ARCF community grants have helped the public was to address asthma management issues for children by educating a group of Girl Scouts in how to help kids with asthma. The data on the value of that education program was published ahead of print in RESPIRATORY CARE on July 10, 2012.
