As Debbie Bunch pointed out in her recent blog, "Giving Back the RT Way," we have highlighted what several AARC state societies have done to promote lung health and the RT's role in it in the April edition of AARC Times.

You might want to take some time to look at the new things happening with the AARC's science journal, RESPIRATORY CARE. I sat down with Journal Editor Dean Hess last month to get the scoop on all the changes the Journal is going through; safe to say, you'll be amazed! See page 40.

AARC Times also has a bit of news: We have posted our first-ever video with an article featured in our April digimag; when you turn to page 66, you can read the article about Allen Wentworth, as well as play a video demonstrating the simulators noted in the article.

Also, the AARC recently received official notification that the October 2001 edition of AARC Times will be included in the George W. Bush Presidential Library set to open in Dallas in 2013 (see story on page 62). This edition, which featured President and Mrs. Bush meeting with RTs and other health care practitioners in the wake of September 11th, will be permanently housed in the library's vertical files. It is an honor to be recognized in this way and to be included in the official public record.
