Summer Forum: New Look, New Value, New Ideas

AARC Exec Office Leadership and Staff:  Thank you for the obvious extra efforts to obtain the handouts for each speaker and post them on AARConnect.  We save some trees and help us prepare for this educational event by having this information prior to the meeting.

I look forward to getting an education, catching up with old friends, and making some new ones.

See everyone in Vail!

Our pleasure Garry! As a long-time presenter and attendee at Summer Forum, you know that the one thing that remains constant at the end of every presentation is a bevvy of people that swarm the podium asking for copies of the presenter's slides. This addresses that issue for everyone in the audience and allows them to take the slides back to their organization, share them with their staff, and validate the value of their attendance to those residing in the C-suite.
We continue to evaluate new and innovative ways to create added value to our members. During tough economic times, we know that many members are spending out-of-pocket to cover travel, lodging, and meeting expenses. We know we've got to stay on the cutting edge to keep our members engaged.
We're also very excited to have created an attendee "community" on AARConnect as a repository for the slides. This also provides a direct pipeline for attendees to network directly with each other in advance of the meeting, stay connected afterward, and a direct portal for staff at the AARC to reach out to attendees with targeted communications not necessary for all members.
Please know it is our goal to do the same for AARC Congress 2011.
Thanks for the feedback. It's refreshing to know that we were able to successfully respond to the suggestions of our members. I'll quote one of your favorite sayings... "You Asked, We Delivered".
See you in Vail. Safe travels to everyone!
Best Regards,
Doug Laher
