We kicked off our morning with updates from the ARCF, AARC, NBRC and COARC. Each having some new insight on the future of the profession and our roles in it.
The the joint session presentation was by the mentors mentor, Dean Hess. He shared the new electronic RC Journal and the tools that we can use to share the information there in with our C-Suites, Medical Directors, peers, and teams. This new electronic version is a great tool for sharing the research and new trends in our profession.
The break-out management section started with dual lectures by Mary Hart on what Asthma Educators and COPD Educators can do to enhance our departments both in the facility and in the community that we serve. Getting out the word on our profession and gaining us increased respectability.
Our gem of the day was our lecture and workshop presented by Dr. Pam Cipriano , a consultant, on how we can better prepare ourselves and team up with consultants while facing and defeating the challenges of these changing times we live in. These consultants are not the "Dark Side", as some think, but a useful tool to help us take our teams to the next level.
All-in-all another great day.
But, tomorrow is another day, with more tools to help us grow.
