Does anyone have any information on how often you should do a head check on neonates while on NCPAP?

The standard is to change from prongs to masks Q4 in most facilities and massage the end of the nose. Any breakdown should be reported to someone who works closely with wound care. Children's Health Dallas has good practice doing so. You can contact their RCP Educator Kristen Hood to see about getting a copy of their practice.

I previously worked in a NICU where they were done every 4 hours and documented. It was a shared task between nursing and respiratory.
