In my current role, I am the Regional Director of Respiratory Care, Pulmonary Diagnostics, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Sleep Diagnostics, Hyperbarics, Wound Care and Diabetic Clinic for the University of Colorado Health Memorial hospital system in Colorado Springs, CO. My previous roles include the Director of Clinical Risk Management, Patient Safety Officer, EOC Safety/Security Officer, and Operations manager of the second busiest emergency department in San Diego County. I have been in health care for the past 34. I have a bachelor’s degree in health care management from Ottawa University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration through Colorado State University-Global Campus. I also served in the U.S. Air Force as a Critical Care Medical Specialist from 1985 – 1991. My passion has always been improving patient safety and working with others to come up with ways to reduce potential harm.
