Dr. Walsh completed his undergraduate studies in respiratory therapy and science at Central Virginia (Certificate in Respiratory Care), J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College (AAS in Respiratory Therapy) and Old Dominion University (Health Sciences with minor in Management) and graduate studies in business at Liberty University (MBA) and Rush University (PhD).
Brian Walsh is currently involved in education, research, and patient care activities. He has been an active member of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) since 1994 being recognized as Fellow of the AARC (FAARC) in 2006. He has served the Virginia Society for Respiratory Care (VSRC) since graduating from Respiratory Therapy School in 1995, volunteering for many committees and offices including President (2004). Dr. Walsh served as the Chair of the AARC Protocol Implementation Committee and is the Neonatal/Pediatric Chair. Brian is editor for Neonatal and Pediatric Respiratory Care 5th ed and has author or co-authored over 30 publications. Brian has been a clinician, supervisor, manager, department director, board of director, research and now program director. Dr. Walsh is known for his clinical expertise in the management and education of pediatric respiratory disorders.
