admission to OPPRP

Years ago I had changed the admission to rotating admission so that as one graduates the next is admitted. This accomplished many positive things: newbies can be encouraged by those who have "been there", faster admission, staff can give more attention to the newer pts and those that have been there can start to show independence.  The only downside is it is hard to give waiting pts and idea of when they will rotate in. No one in my program stays for 6 weeks without making progress/improvements therefore they can't just stay on for weeks and weeks. If they are hospitalized they are supposed to  be discharged. If they are out sick for extended periods of time, they are discharged and begin again when there is an opening. I don't leave spots open and wait for their return.
