We have a maintenance program - 4 months for $200. 2 days per week they come in for 1 1/2 hour with personal trainer (overseen by me with guidleines for THR, SpO2, BP and what to do if out of range ) and one day they are independent following their post program exercise prescritpion that was given to them upon program discharge( a secretary is watching over the workout area and can call a code if needed(much like a community fitness center). So 3 days per week. 2 days per week at 3 hours for a skilled person..$50 /mth per pt -max 8 pts. at the end of 4 months they are more inclined to continue on their own. However if there is room they can "reup" for another 4 month program. This prevents them from keeping spots from newer enrollees. Unfortunately on a fixed income even they sometimes find this cost prohibitive.
They need to be responsible for their own oxygen which I have taken care of before they graduate the active rehab. I feel that this is still a supportive enviroment with other pulm pts, less attachment to me, as they do get very dependent, and they become even more independent and hopefully a habit is made after a total of 6 months of exercise( 2 rehab and 4 maintenance).
