In today's busy respiratory care environment, we hope you take a little time to read our story, "Mr. Spock to the COPD Community: Live Long and Prosper!" in the March issue of AARC Times that's just been delivered. AARC Times staff writer Debbie Bunch got the exclusive interview with Leonard Nimoy's daughter, Julie, and wrote the article about Mr. Nimoy's efforts to educate people about COPD and the perils of smoking.

His family is also very involved in educating people about COPD and is planning a tribute film to feature his iconic career in television and his battle with COPD. This week marks the one-year anniversary of his death.

Our March issue also features a series of articles on getting started in respiratory care research. Experts Robert L. Chatburn, Brian K. Walsh, Jeffrey M. Haynes, and Teresa A Volsko join Shawna Strickland in walking you through valuable information for getting started and ultimately getting your study published. We hope this issue will be informative and helpful to anyone wanting to begin doing research in the respiratory care profession.
